– Description: Creation of exclusive limited edition tongs to complement the high-end version of the Steak Master Oven.
– Services offered: Workplane Design team from Barcelona and Guangzhou.
– Suggestions for oven tongs could be either to assist in removing the tray from the oven or to assist in turning the meat. In both cases, they had to have a careful and elegant design and be made with top quality materials.
– Not having a product with the same characteristics on the market
– That the new functionality was very well integrated into the product.
– The display has a memory and color limitation, allowing only 4 colors at a time counting black.
– To create an in-store image that would stand out among the other furnaces on display.
The proposals submitted complied with the requirements.
Workplaners in:
Basic information such as temperature, duration and manual cooking modes are carefully organized to avoid visual confusion.
In the area of UX design and interaction we were faced with the challenge of making a prototype of screens taking into account that the screen was not tactile and the navigation is done with the controls on the right and left, we had to guide the user very well in this. new functionality never seen before in the domestic oven market and we had to avoid as much as possible the possible errors of use and to ensure satisfaction with the product and obviously an optimal baking result.
In visual design, the new iconography had to be integrated into the existing interface with the rest of the oven, with the technical limitation of only being able to use 4 colors on the screen at the same time. which also affected the screen for accessing the new function.
The graphic differentiation for when the product is displayed in store along with other ovens, we worked on the Steak Master functionality to have its own logo added to the door to connote that it is not a conventional Teka oven.
