If you keep correspondence with us or follow us on social networks Linkedin, Twitter, Instagram or Pinterest, you will have noticed the change of logo. In this post we explain the reason.
Recently, we have had many changes in Workplane Design – It has naturally resulted in the introduction of our brand new logo.
We take the opportunity to look back and remind ourselves of all the logos that have represented our company since its creation in 2005. The inspiration from the concept of 2D working planes, which any 3D CAD environment consists of. The name specifically refers to the single plane that needs to be currently activated in order to get the job done.In 2005 modified for the first time to a more integrated, simplified form. Exactly the same process took place once again in 2007, and since then the third version has served us for another 10 years, up until now. Perfect moment for a change!
The new logotype
The newest design has originated in the hands of our chief WorkPlaner – Manuel Távora. The success of the design lies in the update to the current visual trends and at the same time maintaining the core elements which symbolise how WorkPlane was born.
The use of isotype allows recognition as independent graphic or a fully expanded logo including text.
Depending on the context the isotype comes in either one of the two colour options.
One company, two colors
The original blue accompanies all the European cooperation. Yet, the recently added red is more suitable for the Chinese market, as well as the synthesis of the name to its initials WP expressed as 沃派.
We hope you like this new image, soon you will see other changes too.
