DULPH is a product that is specially aimed at children with PDD (Pervasive Developmental Disorder).
For those who don’t know, the PDD is characterized by severe and widespread disturbance in various areas of development such as social interaction skills, communication skills or the presence of behaviors, stereotyped interests and activities disturbance. Among them the most known is autism.
DULPH is an element of water play conceived and designed especially for these children and in general for any child. It is also a game, a product that encourages and facilitates the realization of hydrotherapy in children with PDD, serving as support and assistance to current therapies and opening the possibility of new therapies in the water.
We know that hydrotherapy is able to provide and improve the lives of all children, especially those who have some difficulty, and we didn’t want to miss the opportunity to create an element hydrotherapy and join the game in a unique concept. And so DULPH was born, wanting to be the support and win the heart of any child in the water, helping to develop and grow.
DULPH has lots of features that make it special. A waterproof speaker that generates different environments to help children differentiate gaming moments from momento of relation and allow us a set of auditory stimuli that help the children develop several abilities. Other special thing that DULPH have is that it has a sensor on the front that detect when another DULPH is nearby to foster the approach to other children.
In order to rectify aggressive behavior that some children express on objects and people, DULPH have a sensor that detect when it is hit or abused by the child, stopping any interaction that the dolphin is doing with the child. To reactivate it, the child must caress him until DULPH reacts.
